Roasted garlic in air fryer gets ready in half the time it takes in the oven. It gets ready in less than 30 minutes isn’t that great! You can save a lot of time while making this roasted garlic.

Air fryer roasted garlic can be addictive because they are creamy, sweet, perfectly caramelized, and has a smooth texture. I love to add roasted garlic to most of my recipes like vegetables, pasta, bread, and many more because it enhances the flavor.

As you can quickly roast garlic in an air fryer, make some extra roasted garlic and store them for later. I’ve also shared a fried garlic recipe in case you love to sprinkle the crispy garlic over salad or any dish you like.

How to make roasted garlic in air fryer?

This is the easiest recipe by far I’ve ever made in my air fryer. Incredibly, all the ingredients are in your kitchen pantry, and it just calls for a few simple ingredients and preparations.

Ingredients for roasted garlic in air fryer:

Roasted Garlic In Air Fryer Recipe

  • 2 garlic bulbs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions for roasted garlic in air fryer:

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 200C/400F for 3 minutes.
  2. With a sharp knife slice off the top of the garlic enough so you can see the cloves inside.

  4. Take a piece of aluminum foil and place the garlic bulb in the center.
  5. Drizzle the garlic bulb with oil and sprinkle with some salt.Roasted peeled garlic in air fryer
  6. Carefully wrap the garlic with the foil forming a small pouch. Wrap the rest of the garlic bulbs into a pouch.Roasted garlic in air fryer with foil
  7. Place the garlic pouch in the air fryer basket and make sure you don’t overcrowd the basket. Cook the garlic at 200C/400F for 25 minutes.

  9. Remove the garlic pouch from the air fryer basket. Let the hot steam escape by opening the pouch carefully.
  10. Check if the garlic is soft and creamy if not place them back in the air fryer basket and cook for 1-2 minutes more.How long to roast garlic in air fryer
  11. Let the roasted garlic cook for a while. Squeeze the whole garlic bulb to remove the head, or scoop them out with a help of a spoon.

How to use roasted garlic?

This super soft and perfectly caramelized garlic can be a good alternative for the recipe calling for fresh ones.

  • Roasted garlic is best to add to any soup that requires garlic. The creamy texture of garlic blends perfectly and the taste is unbeatable.
  • You can spread the air fryer roasted garlic over freshly baked bread to make the best garlic bread or toast.
  • Roasted garlic in air fryer is wonderful when added to the sauce, salad dressing, hummus, pizza, and many more.

Tips:

  • The cooking time varies depending on the size of the garlic bulb you are cooking. Small heads of garlic require less time so, keeping a close eye will prevent it from burning.
  • Make sure you cut off the top of the garlic enough so each garlic clove is open.
  • Let the roasted garlic bulb cool down completely before you squeeze them out.
  • Be careful while opening the garlic pouch because the hot steam might burn you.

Storing Roasted Garlic

Put the roasted garlic in an air-tight container and store them in the refrigerator. They are good for 3-4 days.

You can store the air fryer roasted garlic in the freezer for a longer period of time. Put them in a freezer-safe container/bag and store them in the freezer. They are good for 4-5 months. Simply thaw them in the refrigerator overnight and they are ready for use.

How long to roast garlic in an air fryer?

The cooking time depends on the size of the garlic. Small garlic takes less time to cook and bigger ones take longer. I cooked my garlic for 25 minutes and they were perfectly caramelized and soft.

How do you roast garlic without burning it?

Wrap the garlic bulb well with the alumunium foil to prevent it from burning. Plus do not keep the garlic bulb for a longer period of time in the air fryer. Check the garlic bulb carefully after 20-25 minutes if they are not soft enough cook them for 1-2 minutes more.

How long does roasted garlic keep?

Roasted garlic in air fryer is good for 3-4 days if stored in the refrigerator and they are good for up to 5 months if frozen.
