The air fryer fish recipe works so well. You should try making frozen salmon in air fryer. The result comes out juicy and tender. When I made it for the first time I was amused with the result. Since then, Iโ€™ve made most of the fish recipes in air fryer.

How to cook frozen salmon in air fryer?

Cooking frozen salmon fillets in the air fryer is simple and easy. Even if youโ€™ve never tried cooking, follow the instructions below and make some flavorful frozen salmon in air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 2 Frozen salmon fillets (6oz)
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges
  • 2 tablespoons Paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 200C/400F for 3-5 minutes. Meanwhile, place the salmon fillets on a plate and rub with olive oil, sprinkle a generous amount of salt, pepper, and some paprika, and rub both sides.
  2. Place the seasoned frozen salmon fillets in the air fryer basket with skin side down.
  3. Cook at 200/400F for 10 minutes or until the fillets are tender and flakey. Flip the salmon fillets halfway through the cooking process to cook evenly.
  4. Remove the salmon from the air fryer and serve with lemon wedges and desired dip.

Garlic butter salmon has that buttery and garlicky flavor which I love about this recipe. You just need 5 ingredients for this recipe letโ€™s find them out.

  • 2 Salmon Fillets (6oz)
  • 2 ยฝ tablespoon butter (melted)
  • 1 ยฝ tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon parsley chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 200C/400F for 3-5 minutes.
  2. Take a mixing bowl, add melted butter, garlic, and parsley mix them well.

  1. Place the seasoned fresh salmon skin side down in the air fryer basket and cook at 200C/400F for 10 minutes or until the salmon are tender and flakey. Flip the salmon halfway through.

  1. Remove the garlic butter salmon from the air fryer basket garnish with lemon wedges serve and enjoy.

How to know if salmon is finished cooking?

The easy way to find out if your salmon is finished cooking or not is to check for the color.

The raw salmon fish is red and when it starts cooking it will turn pink or pale pink.

You can slice it with a knife or use a fork to test if itโ€™s done. Itโ€™s done when itโ€™s tender and flakey while cutting.

Tips for salmon in air fryer

  • Choose your salmon free from discoloration or any type of spots. For both frozen and fresh salmon.
  • If you're using frozen salmon for this recipe defrost/thaw them before cooking.
  • Pat dry the salmon before adding seasonings.
  • Donโ€™t overcook the salmon remove them from the air fryer basket once the internal temperature reaches 145F.
  • If you donโ€™t have a thermometer then you can judge the salmon based on the color. Raw salmon is reddish when cooked it turns pale pink.

How long to cook frozen salmon fillets in air fryer?

Frozen salmon in air fryer cook time is 10 minutes. The temperature for frozen salmon in air fryer is 200C/400F. The cooking time may vary according to the thickness of the salmon you cook.

If youโ€™re cooking the frozen salmon in air fryer in batches the following batch cooks faster. You need to notice the cooking time or youโ€™ll end up burning them.
