A warm and soft bread baked by yourself and served for the dinner hits differently. Cooking food in an air fryer has been my favorite these days especially baking. A lot of time is saved while cooking in an air fryer in compared to an oven.
The air fryer does a lot of delicious cooking besides air frying fries and wings. You can make varieties of desserts, and appetizers and I’ve even made a lot of dishes for thanksgiving and Christmas dinner.

Is Bread rolls and Dinner rolls the same?
Many of us come from various nations and regions. According to where you are from, the bread rolls could be referred to as dinner rolls as well. Whatever name you give it, the recipe is easy and pretty similar.
How to make air bread rolls?
The bread roll recipe is super easy and straightforward to make. Assemble the ingredients and you are good to start. You can use any oven-proof dish you have to make the bread rolls. Or if you searching for one you can use souffle dish ramekins that comes in budget or Corningware baking dish.
Ingredients for bread rolls:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 cup milk
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- ½ teaspoon salt
Egg Wash
- 1 egg yolk whisked with 1 tablespoon of water
Instructions for bread rolls:
- Take a mixing bowl to add dry ingredients all-purpose flour and salt. Mix them until well combined and set them aside.
- Take a large mixing bowl to add egg, sugar, warm milk, yeast, and oil. Mix them together and let them sit for 15-20 minutes or until the yeast mixture begins to foam and create bubbles.
- Add the flour mixture and combine them together to form a dough.
- Oil or sprinkle some flour on your work space and knead the dough until soft or for about 5 minutes.
Grease the bowl with oil and place the dough. Cover the dough with a plastic foil and set aside for an hour or until the dough is double in size. - Take the dough out of the bowl on the workspace. Press the dough flat and divide the dough into equal sizes about 50g each. Roll the dough into a round shape.
- Take any oven-proof dish and brush them with a generous amount of oil. Arrange the dough into the oven-proof dish and cover them with plastic foil for about 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, preheat your air fryer at 165C/330F for 4-5 minutes.
- Before cooking the air fryer bread rolls brush them with egg wash and sprinkle some sesame seeds or chia seeds. Egg wash and the seeds are optional.
- Cook the bread rolls at 125C/260F for 10 minutes.
- Let the bread rolls rest for a while before serving.

Of course. Slice the bread rolls, put them in a freezer-safe container and store them in the freezer. They are good for 2-3 months.
