Air fryer gingerbread is fluffy filled with soft cream cheese and covered in perfect seasonings. Air fryer gingerbread bites can be served as a dessert or you can serve as a snack and breakfast.

You can bake air fryer gingerbread using crescent dough, gingerbread cake mix or you can make it from scratch using all-purpose flour.

How to make air fryer gingerbread bites?

Making air fryer gingerbread cookies is easy and requires a few ingredients. As I mentioned before, you can make air fryer gingerbread bites from the crescent dough, cake mix, and all-purpose flour.

Today I’ll be making air fryer gingerbread bites from scratch.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-Purpose flour
  • 8oz cream cheese
  • ½ cup sugar (brown /regular)
  • 1 tablespoon ground ginger
  • 1 ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1 teaspoon ground all-spices
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 stick salted butter (room temperature)
  • Water

Instruction for air fryer gingerbread bites from scratch.

  1. The first step is making dough. Take a large mixing bowl, add butter, sugar, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, all-spices, and baking soda. Mix them well and slowly add the flour and water until the dough becomes thicker.
  2. After the dough is ready, wrap it in plastic wrap and chill for 30 minutes.
  3. Now prepare the cream cheese for the filling. Take a mixing bowl, put the cream cheese and a tablespoon of sugar. Combine it using a fork and keep it aside.
  4. Remove the dough from the refrigerator, unwrap the dough and roll out to be about ¼ inch thick and cut them into a rectangle shape.
  5. After that put a tablespoon of cream cheese mixture to the large end of triangles.
  6. Fold the dough gently and cover the cream cheese. And dip it into the spice mixture and coat evenly.
  7. Preheat your air fryer at 360F for 3-5 minutes.
  8. Place the gingerbread bites in the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook at 360F for 10 minutes. Shake the air fryer basket halfway through the cooking process to make sure they are evenly cooked.
  9. Remove the air fryer and enjoy the gingerbread bites.

Instruction for air fryer gingerbread bites from Crescent Dough

  1. Take a mixing bowl to add butter, sugar, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and all spices.
  2. Take a mixing bowl, put the cream cheese and a tablespoon of sugar. Combine it using a fork and keep it aside.
  3. Now unroll the crescent dough and cut them in a triangle shape. Place a tablespoon of cream cheese mix on the wider side and gently fold them.
  4. Preheat your air fryer at 360F for 3-5 minutes.
  5. Place the gingerbread bites in the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook at 360F for 10 minutes. Shake the air fryer basket halfway through.
  6. Remove the air fryer and enjoy the gingerbread.

You can use any of the gingerbread cake mix for the recipe

  • Betty Crocker Gingerbread Cake Mix
  • Pillsbury Gingerbread Cake Mix
  • Trader Joe’s Gingerbread Cake Mix

 

  1. Take a mixing bowl, add the gingerbread cake mix and prepare the batter.
  2. Take the egg bites and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  3. Fill in the egg mold with the batter about 2/3.
  4. Preheat your air fryer basket at 360F for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Place the egg mold in the air fryer basket and cook at 360F for 10 minutes.
  6. Remove the air fryer gingerbread bites from the egg mold, serve and enjoy.

  • The chilling process is important because it helps the dough to roll out smoothly and helps to cook evenly. Don’t skip this process.
  • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket, leave some space between the air fryer gingerbread bites for the best result.
  • If you’re making air fryer gingerbread man cookies let them completely cool before decorating.
  • Always preheat your air fryer because this gives a worm platform to bake the cookies.
  • You can use corn syrup instead of molasses/sugar for a sweeter cookie.
