Pat dry the chicken wings to remove the moisture before adding the seasonings.
500 g chicken wings
Take a mixing bowl to add the chicken wings and oil. Thoroughly coat the chicken wings with the oil first. Then add the garlic powder, salt, and pepper and mix them until well coated.
1 tablespoon oil, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste
Let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes. Or you can skip the marination process if you don’t have enough time. However, I like to marinate the chicken before I air fry them.
Preheat your air fryer at 200C/400F for 5 minutes.
Spray/brush a generous amount of oil on the air fryer basket. Place the seasoned chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Don’t overcrowd the basket.
Cook the chicken wings at 200C/400F for 10 minutes. Flip the chicken and cook for 10 minutes more. The total cooking time is 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, the chicken wings are cooking making the buffalo sauce.
Take a mixing bowl to add melted butter and hot sauce I’m using frank’s hot sauce. You can use any hot sauce according to your preference. Mix them together until well combined. Your buffalo wing sauce is ready.
¼ cup unsalted butter, ⅓ cup hot sauce
Then transfer the crispy chicken wings into the buffalo sauce and toss them together until evenly coated.
Serve and enjoy your crispy and juicy air fryer buffalo chicken wings.
